How to Apply

Applications for E3 Academy scholarships commencing September 2024 are invited from students studying or intending to study at Bristol, Newcastle or Nottingham universities. Eligibility criteria are as follows:

  i) you must be studying for an undergraduate degree (BEng or MEng, including foundation year): if you are studying for a postgraduate qualification (MSc, MPhil or PhD) your application will be rejected;

  ii) your course should involve a substantial element of electrical and / or electronic engineering;

  iii) you should have at least two years of your course remaining in September 2024;

  iv) you must be available for compulsory summer vacation placements with your sponsoring company and be willing to accept employment with your company after graduation.

The application process involves three stages:

  a) an initial application, which can be completed on line by following this link

  b) if your initial application is accepted, you will be invited to complete a more detailed full application form. The closing date for full applications is midday on 30 April 2024. It is not possible to accept late applications.

  c) based on the information supplied in the two application forms, sponsoring companies will invite selected applicants to attend a selection event (including interview). These events will be scheduled in July 2024
